A formal definition of Wiki is "A web site or set of web pages that allows almost anyone to edit and add content". MediaWiki, a free and open source software developed using PHP originally intended for use on Wikipedia, which is lately emerging as a handy Content Management System (CMS). We, at EnhanceEdu both use and promote MediaWiki as a CMS for preparing and managing course content. For the very purpose of enhancing content development and management process, EnhanceEdu conducts and organizes WikiDays.
MediaWiki comes with a wide range of features. You can prepare and organize content in the form of text using MediaWiki's rich formatting tools, use images to make it more readable, add documents (WORD, PDF, RTF, etc.) and presentations (PPT's) to support your content, and even embed audio/video files to make your content more lively. We, through WikiDays, help you learn and understand how to use these features to prepare and manage content with MediaWiki.
WikiDays are conducted both at EnhanceEdu, IIIT-H and at the respective college premises. When the date and venue is fixed, our Wiki experts will deliver the session at the respective venues.
